Dr. Ralf Güldner, Vice Chairman of the Board of Management of E.ON Kernkraft, has been elected President of FORATOM, succeeding Paul Rorive.

Dr. Güldner joined Siemens in 1981 and worked in the nuclear fuel business for twenty years before becoming Managing Director of Framatome ANP, which is now AREVA NP.

In 2006, he was appointed Executive Vice President of AREVA NP responsible for its global nuclear fuel business.

In 2008, he joined E.ON Kernkraft as Managing Director responsible for new build, decommissioning and fuel management. He has also served as Chairman of the German Nuclear Society and from 2006 – 2008 was Chairman of the World Nuclear Association.
